Goal: The goal of this advertisement is to get consumers to purchase Coca-Cola products.
Audience: The audience is both men and women of all ages who drink soda.
Argument: The argument of this advertisement is you should drink Coca-Cola because it will not only satisfy your appetite, but you will be just like celebrities who drink it as well.
How:
ETHOS - This advertisement uses celebrity endorsements to appeal to its customers. It uses the shape of the Coke bottle with pictures of all the famous people on the inside. This makes the customers feel as though they can be just like the celebrities and be "cool".
PATHOS - The advertisement appeals to a customer's feelings by making them feel cool and important. For men, they see the pretty women on the bottle and feel as though if they drink it, they can be with those women. For women, they feel important by boosting their self-esteem and feeling as though they are as pretty as the famous women.
LOGOS - This advertisement is saying that drinking Coca-Cola is reasonable because "classics never go out of style". Coke is considering itself a classic giving justice for people to drink it.
Is it effective: I think that this advertisement would be very effective. The media plays such a big role and because there are classic famous people on the bottle, customers are going to want to be like them. Coke also brings out the point that it is a classic. If something has been around for a while, it must still be a good product.
